i am reading a book about KIDMAN cattle baron from 1880s to 1930s.
he was one of 14 original shareholders of BHP back in 1870's. He bought in for 400pound. He sold in one week latter for 1000pound. That money he used to start up his cattle and butchery empire.
The book states if he had kept his original stake it would be worth 865m in 1990 $eqv.
Do you trade or hold? Idont think kidman missed out by selling early, it depends what you use the profit for.
