For ISG to work well a continuous operation is ideal and that's not what the Electricity Market is all about. Australia has coal, wind, solar, gas, batteries and hydro all working at different outputs through out the day so unless the syn-gas is stored its not a great fit. In any case the 132KV power line is there and with an upgrade is a way cheaper option to sell the energy in the gas into that
market. The plunge into the World's Urea pool needs a long term supply of gas so it makes no sense to flog it off on the side.
