What would you prefer a focus on building the project or building the SP? If they were needing to raise capital then building the SP would make sense but Talga plan to be free carried with funding at a project level from the JV partners and green deal funding.
If they focus on building the project and the JV partners are investing at a project level, then the SP will naturally follow.
It's a far better situation with no dilution, but some investors can't see the wood for the trees.
If the JV partners invest US$486 million for pre tax NPV8 of US$1.054billion and annual EBITDA of $US170million then the SP will follow. This is based on 19.5ktpa too, this number is meaningless in the long term.
