See below:
This is how I see a white label solution working for both Splitit and AMEX.
By integrating SPT onto their infrastructure they are then able to offer instalments and own the entire process.
A white-lable integration with Splitit would allow AMEX to provide merchants with the following:
1. Payment gateway
2. Payment processor
3. Payment Issuer
4. Merchant funding (supported by Banking arm)
5. Offer instalments
This would allow merchants to offer instalments and deal with one provider as the gateway, instalment provider, funding etc
For the customer they are able to use instalments on their existing AMEX card at any merchant that onboard to this AMEX instalment solution so their instalment payments occur with the one provider on the ONE platform.
This solution would be highly profitable for AMEX however in order to achieve this they NEED Splitit's white-labelled integration.
It's a win win for both and evidence of why they are a good fit.
The financial materiality is much greater than VISA and MC as this solution is directly integrated with the MERCHANT who is generating the revenue through fees and charges for the use of this service.
