    SHOCKING!!!

I believe a software update is required and the work requires about an hour to complete.

You forgot to mention Tesla having to recall all their EVs manufactured in China

Does this imply that EVs are "worse" than ICE cars?

According to this article 98 people died and 1,710 injuries were caused by a fault in Fords in 1981, which required a recall fo 21 million cars..

I am going to make a somewhat bold prediction:

In 1981, ICE technology was already decades old, yet to this day, millions of ICE cars get recalled from time to time. I believe the step up in simplification of the EV drive train will mean that once EVs have been around for a decade or two and early teething problems have been overcome, they will require significantly fewer recalls than ICE cars require to this day.

Just my wild guess based on the number of moving parts in the respective technologies.
