HC is playing up so this may come out weird
Afawcett, " I am correct again"
You are rarely correct. You are certainly not correct (or even close) on this occasion. You often mention a few points that are vaguely correct but the overall theme of most of yr conversations are actually misleading on a geological science basis, which is why I refrain, generally, from responding to you directly. It would just come out sounding negative on my part. Those who know something about geology easily make their own call on yr posts. Those who don't have the geological knowledge can get taken in by your well worded posts. However, on this occasion, as Jethro Tull were want to say, 'you are as thick as a brick' and, I have had a glass of red so a few less barriers. You have close to no idea of what you are talking about.
I was being polite in my response re yr comment that gold is effectively always native. You are simply wrong and embarrassing yourself. Gold takes a multitude of forms, native is just one expression. In the context of Frewenas, (which after all is what I was talking about, go back and read the post) not the most interesting form. You simply do not get it.
I would suggest that if you could occasionally throw things up as questions rather than adamant statements, you would learn more and not mislead others. Read some of these articles, if as u portray, you are currently studying geology, look up some of the journal articles, ask your lecturers (especially the ones with grey hair who have spent time in industry). You will learn something.
Slow down and go faster....OK, now the wine is talking

PS There are a few other mineral deposits on planet earth beside Olympic Dam. A sketchy understanding of OD will not answer all questions about deposits in general.
