The only current drug treatment available for brain cancer is a small molecule therapy called temozolomide, which is typically given after radiation therapy but which is largely ineffective as it cannot cross the blood-brain barrier.
The average life expectancy for someone diagnosed with glioblastoma is 15 months on average - fair to say it's not really cutting it but it's the best we have - FOR THE MOMENT
Temozolomide is sold under the product name TEMODAR and is owned by Merck, definitely one of the biggest pharma companies globally - MC is app. $USD 200B
I'm sure that they are keeping a very close eye on proceedings
