No real reaction because photos of sulphide core can be deceiving. I've seen beautiful massive and disseminated high sulphide % core stretch for 10m intervals - but grade at less than 0.5% nickel.
Many nickel bearing minerals, no one cares about pyrite, pyrrhotite will give you ~1%.... the one you want is pentlandite. So keep your eyes on the Geo's logging (though even they can be untrustworthy).
