First time post having lurked around these forums for some years.
I am currently involved in an EIS application in my line of work, and I have quickly come to understand that the technical assessments being requested are absolutely par for the course for the development being considered, i.e. a metals refinery. It staggers me - and I guess disappoints - that these weren't anticipated prior by either TNG management or certainly by APM. This leads me to think that the mistake TNG has made here is in their selection of APM as theirexpertpartner in development and submission of the EIS. There is a good number of organisations around who are experts both in the preparation of an expeditious EIS ensuring a with a smooth approvals pathway. This includes having on the bench - either internally or externally - subject matter experts in each of the technical areas requiring assessment who can prepare this documentation to the standard required by any EPA body. Looking at the APM website, they appear to be a couple of tiers below the organisations I am aware of, and this looks like a case of TNG getting what its paying for.
