Linc Energy Ltd. (LNC.AU) is looking to raise up to A$60 million in new capital in a bid to remove concerns about its funding position and enable it to step up development of projects in Queensland and South Australia, The Australian Financial Review reported on its Web site Friday, without citing sources.

The company is understood to be seeking between A$50 million and A$60 million via a share placement and share purchase plan at a 5%-10% discount on Wednesday's closing price for the stock of A$1.55, the Web site reported.
