You can replace every last part on a rig in a few days. I know, I have been employed repairing them. If they cant source bits then it is mis management by someone. Im not saying sgq, just that someone must be responsible for not having bits in stock ready to go.
If they have been keeping the maintenance up, then they would know which parts are toward the end of their service life. eg a winch, a pump, a transmission, a motor, a plc etc.
