It's clear where Afterpay is going. They're wanting to be an aggregator. The 'Google to websites', the 'Expedia/Airbnb to travel', or the 'Uber Eats to restaurants'.
There's been a strategic shift from Afterpay (away from payments, being a checkout enabler) to being an aggregator and trying own search/demand. IMO they're now fighting against Amazon, Google, Ebay, Etsy, Pinterest, Shopfiy, DTC brands, and the biggest one IMO Facebbok (as I feel Facebook/Instagram will increasingly move into commerce/transactions to compete with Amazon/Google). Jury is still out if this is the right direction, but to say they're a vanilla pay in 4 is not correct.
