I once was designing an offshore facility right on a international boundary in the middle East. Reservoir spanned the boundary of the two countries. The one country had been sucking for years and the other wanted to get theirs worth, but just too slow and bureaucratic. By design the two platforms would have been maybe 500m apart with 50 straws in the same milkshake. It was comical.
A local example is Prelude and Icthys both sucking from the same field. Inpex doing far better.
