Parton had plans to expand into Adelaide & Brisbane as well. DW8 had plans to control the logistics operations to have control of deliveries to offer a superior service.
DW8 already has their own warehouse in Adelaide. I am fairly sure it is the WDA warehouse & James Munn etc are based in Adelaide. They seem to be putting Leased Assets costs into the Admin & Corporate Costs column in the 4C. The recent job ad for a Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor mentions the following:
We are currently recruiting a Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor to join our highly motivated and experienced team at our Adelaide Warehouse. The Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor shall control and co-ordinate store personnel and their duties; and also maintains the integrity of the stock levels daily.
DW8 will now have warehouses in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne & Sydney. So they now need to acquire or set up a Brisbane operation & possibly something in Tassie. DW8 will also have 190 clients & 250 trade accounts via the acquisition.
It appears that Parton has numerous clients currently supplying venues, bottleshops etc in WA, NSW & VIC. They will now be able to expand into SA, QLD & TAS.
