Tks,Yes well I was kinda meaning as a business proposal ie taking graphite from old batteries to make a graphene product . Graphene is a well used term but within that is a multiple of varieties ,of qualities. I have read of that famous blender shearing lab approach but generally I’ve read you’ll get low yield and quality of graphene, Which of course as you say is ok for some purposes ,so for whoever ends up with the battery mass I guess.
Talga do have a JV project for a graphene enhanced concrete product going for a few years now.
The critical advantage of the Vittangi graphite resource is its grade and purity which allows to be be very conductive. In pilot plant processing this facilitates electrically conductive particles along flake grain direction. This liberates the flake nano platelets without damage and with extremely high yield of graphene of VFL ( very few layer).
So very high quality at very low cost, with low CO2 .I think MT has said it’s about the same cost as producing Talnode-C.
That’s pretty amazing.
