Yes Fred, I'm well aware of it's history, and I have also fired it, and do recall the weapon pulling up and to the right as you say, I also got to foire it's replacement the F1, personally I liked the Owen, more than likely for sentimental reasons, from memory the F1 had a greater range, the Owen was designed for Jungle warfare where the target was in close proximity anyway, but if they were just too far away for an effective range, all you left on them was red welts so I am told.the Owen and the F1 were dsigned for a different purpose I believe, although the Owen was one of the simplest and reliable weapons for it's time, something I believe they will say about metalstorm weapons on day perhaps?
