@HER what are you struggling with mate? MH is vey thorough with his explanations. This is my take on it:Induced Polarisation (IP) Survey - RCP has shown that the coppermineralisation is sulphide poor, with little to no pyrite present. Copperwithin the breccia pipe deposits occurs as disseminated chalcopyrite andbornite. Historic IP surveys, recent petrophysical tests and thin sectionpetrographic analysis indicate that the mineralisation provides a strongchargeability response. Thus IP methods can be considered a direct detectiontool for targeting disseminated copper mineralisation in the absence of pyrite.
VTEM Survey
Geophysical modelling has shown the survey has the ability todetect a conductive horizon to considerable depth within the resistive sedimentpackage of the McArthur Basin. Any discrete resistor within an extensivestratabound conductive horizon is considered a target for copper bearing fluidsto react and create a disseminated copper deposit.
The VTEM system is capable of mineral exploration to depths ofhundreds of metres in resistive environments. The high power, low flight heightand low noise levels of the VTEM system should provide improved depth ofinvestigation and spatial resolution.
VTEM™ generates currents that diffuse into theearth and, similar to water, always take the path of least resistance.Conductive material absorbs the currents and releases a secondary field thatthe VTEM™ system measures. A strong conductor absorbs and releases more orall of the VTEM™ signal.
Sowhat we want from the VTEM is to show some large strong conductors from the stratigraphictargets or a massive conductor under a Breccia pipe
As posted previously the latest IP data shows in the first 3 sqkm we have 6 stratigraphic targets, two of which appear circa 1km in length. The VTEM has started and this area will be the priority for the first lines to fly over. MH can interpret this as live data as its his specialist field.....so if we get some strong conductors that correlate with the IP its 100% game on.
