In theory one advantage of having a bid lodged so appearing in market depth relates to the timestamp for priority listing.

This requires understanding how ASX treats timestamps for bids, where self fails...


Will changing our price/quantity in a Bid change our timestamp and thus our priority ?

IF not then marker bids make more sense.


Processing a new order appears take longer than processing a change of price to a bid, not sure of volume change.
