    TA offers us some foresight into where a trend may go in 2 or 3 different scenarios this is not about prediction its just having our "heads up" and allows quick decisions to be made based on that foresight...my own trading style is "trend following"...ie want to see the 4 basic turning points established first before any momentum kicks in ..then enter very early in the momentum.
