It doesn't really matter what word you use, because they are now trying again but using live samples.

Science is just like that, you have to set upper and lower limits and then test within. Company thought using stored samples may have done the job but I guess the inconsistency proved otherwise. But it doesn't mean the whole saliva concept is invalid.

Even if saliva sampling was a success, they will still need to figure out how to best extract samples and therefore can update the instructions, so maybe that's why the live trial will be best. Extract samples from the same patient using different methods then compare which way gives the most accurate reading. IMO that's the information they couldn't have gotten from stored samples.

Nonetheless, if the company didn't they live trials will give us a better chance, they would have just pulled the plug like Sona did. And with the additional trials of different sampling methods, they will give us a less invasive test.
