Racing speeds up the technology development however it does it at a high cost.
The yanks have developed plenty of technology but lets not forget those clever Europeans and their racing history. Interestingly much of F1 is based in the UK.
However, this is still a volume game. An economies of scale game.
That's why I keep an eye on the commercial sector. Delivery vans, taxis, buses etc. Machines that are a business that has to make money. Businesses that are always looking to reduce cost.
Evs offer the opportunity to reduce their costs. They buy vehicles by the thousands and they replace them every few years.
Btw. I see Chevrolet is developing yet another electric ute now.
