It is a shame that on quite a few of our closes at VMS the SP is cut down by a party or parties intent on pushing it that way by 1 share.
As SJ has informed and he is well aware of that action taking place in order to get themselves a discount on closing trade action.
As most here would have noted the market was hit hard yesterday and the VMS held its ground admirably and on a very negative day it should have closed in neutral territory but was pushed to negative down side by 1 share only.
Will I loose sleep over that . NO, but as an active investor I don't like it.
I don't like the game of the bots either hooking into stocks and trading massive amounts of minimal parcels and influencing SP pricing.
I don't like the fact that when I send a buy or sell order some party has intercepted that even before it has even hit the market.
I don't like it when I read what Watchfulbull went thru to hell and back with ASIC as I held them on a bit of a pedestal and have certainly paid them plenty over the years in fee's.
I don't like it when I am trading a CFD late at night on Brent or Gold or Ftse and a mysterious whipsaw just happens to perfectly take my stop loss out in a matter of seconds after I have had a string of successful trades.
None of the above cause me to loose sleep.
But I have to tell you I really don't like it.
Yes I come from old school and have been round the block a few times and the latest technology is marvelous in many ways, BUT not so in others.
