With the Olympics underway, we're off to Japan for the Sea Day public holiday. "Sea Day" (sometimes translated as Marine Day or Ocean Day) is a day of thanks for the bounty of the ocean and its special role in the life of an island nation. It's also a great excuse to go the beach. The classic Japanese breakfast looks a lot like what we might think of as a dinner: fish, rice, miso soup and fermented soybeans, but it's healthy and nutritious.
