All over the world, permaculture, organic farming and mixed cropping:
1. produce better, more sustainable yields in the longer term, and
2. regenerate soil rather than degrading it.

If the absence of glyphosate trebles the cost of my daily bread I will gladly pay it.
I'd rather that than cheap morning toast that makes my nose bleed!

When will governments and producers wake up to the fact that the purpose of agriculture is to provide healthy, nutrient (non-toxic) food?
That they do so at a profit is a by-product of the service they provide. When profit becomes the exclusive or even primary motive for food production, the food itself is the OBVIOUS casualty. The people who eat it suffer. The people who produce it are also people. Everyone suffers. Being a billionaire with a permanent nose-bleed and other neurological and genetic problems which will be passed on to their descendents along with their billions is not a desirable lifestyle.

As the Bible rightly says, "Love of money is the root of all evil!"
