re: crapper Mr Crapper was very famous. A Yorkshireman who invented the water closet (w.c). Hence the term to have a crap.
On the subject of beefy boy - he has a random intellect, totally unsuited to being prime minister of any county let alone ours. He is a useful back room ideas man though, as long as one can accurately sift out the two good ideas in ten that he espouses. The other eight are likely to cause serious harm.
