Actually interesting how this write down came about. It was not the management saying "hey let's be conservative here", but the auditor pushing for a lower value. That does not happen too often as the auditor will usually go along with management numbers as long as it is somewhat defensible (after all it the management that pays the auditor). Tells you how aggressive the company seems to be with the valuation of their assets.
