I rode AFG all the way up from the $1.20 mark to the mid $2.50 range last year.
Have never stopped watching it.
One thing I have to say is that as a yield on a stock it is a very good consistent income stock. Retention and dividend redistribution will lift the yield over time. So really it's a long term hold stock IMHO
Having said that with the latest developments of the merger falling over, there may be an opportunity to jump back in at lower prices.
Currently yielding around 4%. It's really disappointing that the judge cant get their act together. Seriously poor form
What was deemed good for the industry has been usurped by an incredible outcome
Personally would be looking for a higher yield so will keep an eye on it for now
The dividend would need to be lifted from the present 10.6c per share to maintain a sound 5% plus yield.
The final div coming up soon so will keep an eye out for re-entry
