After his explanation, if the company is targeting a higher percentage, for it to go up means they are doing what they planned.
Crypto is probably not the way, alternatively I'd merge pocketbook and the urge to make a one stop app for your budgeting, browsing and purchasing of items. Similar to instagram, how they connect to stores and show you the price they should integrate it all into the app and then allow you to pay whilst browsing through photos of clothes. Your pocketbook should automatically update with any purchases made through zip. This will help silence the naysayers who say that bnpl is creating debt issues for younger people. Similar to Afterpay's new savings accounts, people will want a high interest savings account and as Pete said they can get high coupon rates than what banks offer so that will attract the older crowd (30%) which will increase the target age demographic.
Switching the name is the right thing to do, yeah potentially was the smart move 8 months ago but within the Quadpay app it can be a seamless transition over and it shouldn't be an issue. People aren't great with change but in time the thought of Quadpay will have dissipated. Rebranding will drive brand recognition and potentially spur on more US investments. Alternatively, having one unified brand would assist with the potential US listing. The other thing they could be doing is bringing the zip model in Australia to the US. Instead of having only the pay in 4 option, they have both the zip money model for larger purchases, Quadpay for less than $1500 and zip bus.
If they did the above it at the very least gives them some direction as at the moment they are all over the place.
