I don't know how to tell you this Sandune, but Gold Coast is not the centre of the universe. It is merely a boil on the bum of the real Australia.
In my town property is not rising as fast as it was but rising it is. I admit it's not the COU either but it is a "working" town.
The bum will not fall out of r/e in isolation. If it falls so to will most other conventional investments so the choice is "Where do we loose less?" and holding good property and avoiding selling costs and capital gains may be a good idea. Depends on many personal things. I doubt selling property and buying NAB would be a smart move.
