We are viewing a fools gold company. It has no plans so why hold?
Sure it has potential but the management have no idea and do not care. May be if gold were going to $USD 1300 then someone might buy it for a reasonable price.
At present CRK is essentially like holding an option on the possibility that the gold price may rise by 50% (and stay there). And we know that options prices are only a small fraction of the underlying value of the asset.
I am not sure how long I will hold this. I think the next step up will come in late 2009 when the POG is expected to move up above $1000.
The only positive I can seel is that if they sold the company they could probably get closer to $1 per share rather than its current 55 cents price.
