IMO any 'ISM" wont cure the US demise; instead it requires a complete rethink of what it has now and reign back its Multinationals so that they manufacture at home, pay taxes at home and at the same time innovate and do the science to keep them ahead of China.
This simply can't be done by Wall St or Silicon Valley IMO, but instead it has to resurrect its 19C & early 20C industrial phoenix.
Perhaps Germany serves as a good model where it has managed to stay ahead of Japan, Korea and later China by consistently producing good quality high valued goods thereby picking the eyes out of Global markets and at the same time treating its workers well during their working lives & in retirement.
