it’s a dreadful way to live that is for sure. I wonder how it will affect our lives longer term. I had an interesting conversation yesterday about over population and how famines, pestilence and other disasters happen when population in an area gets too large.
probably not the best conversation for here but in any population of animals when their numbers increase beyond a certain point there are consequences. I can’t help wondering if this is the same thing and, dreadful a view as it is, our tendency as a species to think we are rather special is also our undoing. At our most basic we are just a species on earth with potential for lots of things but we seem to have taken our belief in our dominion and mastery just a little too far. We are born. We live.
