there's something about the demographic markers but the images are too fleeting.
we haven't had a riot since the Bondi riot started by Alan Jones. and there are similarities.
but the BLM march was well organised, they had lawful permission, they masked and covid safe distance..... and they didn't riot - until a few coppers cornered half a dozen down in the train station.
there are massive differences...... yet were we discussing the ppl's right to march and protest, I would say certainly, go ahead and do it right, with respect for all others and with dignity - and get your message across clearly.

No Scott, it was unlawful, against the CHO's restrictions at the time
"Police will fine Melbourne Black Lives Matter rally organisers $1652 each for breaching the directions of the Chief Health Officer"
""We remain concerned that such a large gathering has occurred without regard for the need to maintain social distance and will now consider what action should be taken in relation to the organisation and conduct of this unlawful gathering ," Assistant Commissioner Luke Cornelius said"

What you're saying Scott and it's the same as this far left Victorian govt, you may protest, if we agree with what you're protesting about. That is a dangerous precedent to set but you're ok with it because you're myopic and currently it's falling your way
