    there's no need

identify the problem - or perceived problem

what's the problem? ------------ man made climate change and planetary stress from overuse and abuse (give or take - that's about right)

    so - here's a couple of facts

    1. the worlds human population will peak - about 2060 to 2070 and then begin a fairly solid decline.

    2. if we were 'truly' wanting to do something to fix - 'the problem' - which is climate change and planetary stress - we could actually fix it overnight -

all we would have to do is -------

    A. stop buying stuff

immediately ban the manufacture and sale of -

    1. big boys toys - no more big boats etc. ownership of multiple houses for personal use
    2. women's makeup
    3. women's fashions
    4. apply strict limits to the numbers of pieces of clothing purchased per year
    5. go through supermarket aisles and ban every unnecessary item on the shelves
    6. strictly limit air travel for personal use

the rules are - if you want it - you make it yourself - or you go without

    problem solved

when it comes to 2070 and we get population decline ------- problem atm - not so easily solved

in that case - we need a solution for a problem that mankind has not ever faced yet ---------- and, that, is going to take some conceptual thought, some trial and error and some heavy politics
