Because it works well with my trading i guess and coupled with other stuff i use.
As you know its a momentum indicator, which suggests turns prior to price, and when using time anaylsis it adds wieght in most situations.

George Lane ( mr stochastic)himself preferred 21 3 3 i think, as it eliminated alot of the noise. A good example of this would be CBA
