They way I read your post, you grab the learning opportunities with both hands. You accept yourselves warts and all. You don't blame other posters, your broker or friends for your investment decisions. You (MAYBE) made the mistake - however the race is not over, far from it! in this process you have learn to cope and manage your anxiety/depression, which in an increasingly complex world are incredible tools to have.

The Greek philosopher Epicurus said something along the lines of "happiness is not measured by the things you have but by the measure of your enjoyment of the things you have". Keep enjoying your loved ones and friends, enjoy the silence and riot during your meditations, have fun when you challenge your body and mind and hopefully the time will come when you enjoy your investment too.
