Most eng companies have problems attracting skilled people. Too many engineers and such in cushy jobs where they're able to avoid risk and stress and at a decent wage - creating a real shortage of capable smart and dedicated employees. This is why acquisitions are not necessarily a bad idea when you can inherit good employees.
