I cant believe all the people demanding sackings over what was likely an honest mistake. Until evidence of intention to do the wrong thing, or negligence/pure incompetence, a mistake is a perfectly reasonable excuse in my opinion.
Literally everyone makes mistakes, its human nature, anyone who refuses to acknowledge this is a liar or dishonest in my opinion and I dont trust them.
Given the fallibility of all of us, how we, or management respond to errors or mistakes is what matters the most.
demanding servere punishments over mistakes encourages them to be swept under a rug rather than addressed and rectified.
