merchants have long been able to pass on CC buts its very rarely done (our local Chinese restaurant is the only one within my regular spend)
i suspect very few will pass on this apt fees as if there is no advantage for the merchants to adding apt as a payment method then they can simply cancel it as a payment option.
question is are merchants seeing enough benifit from having apt as a payment option? so far it seems to be a big yes.
are merchants willing to cancel apt or charge the fee to customers if it means customers may go elsewhere?
