Institutions are after profits, they will want Big Pharma to buy them out and likely not be too fussed which one does it. The institutions are certainly not there just to stuff the retail investors - but often they do cause the SP to be held back if they decide to sell out after a certain level of profit has been reached or it their value in IMU reaches a level that they regard as a maximum proportion of their assets for a single stock.
