Can anyone throw some light on why the share price has run up so much over the past several weeks? Earnings report due next week - 5th August, after the U.S. market closes. I like to see the share price in companies I own go in the right direction, but feel more comfortable when I know the reason for it. Is it purely momentum? The quarterly earnings estimates (for this quarter) generally seem to be somewhere around the $1.25 mark, per share. Which is not a 'shoot the lights' out type of figure!
