Yes.
But this is a Campus, so essentially that 300MW might be 5 or 6 ~Colocated Data Centres built over time.
What I think they are doing is:
- Removing the need to constantly find new sites each time.
- Better infrastructure coordination (e.g. power), it would be getting harder and harder to find sites suitable for large Data Centres without costly/slow upgrades.
Overall they will hopefully achieve greater construction efficiency, reduced infrastructure risk & cost, greater operating leverage over time.
Last year Digital Realty announced a 250MW campus in the same area.
