If there was an effective treatment for people who have flu that has progressed to severe ARDS and thus are at extreme risk of dying from the flu, they would use it.
It could be that Dex+Remestemcel-L will be able to save them too, not just people with Covid-induced ARDS.
This is why Novartis is so interested.
