I agree with your thoughts. The language is unusual for pilots and that either means they know a deal will come off or they are ludicrously over confident. Take your pick and place your bets accordingly.

COVID is not going away anytime soon, as Delta and lambda and whatever the next variant is, is now proving, so even if they have found it to be useful in the limited setting of COVID preganant mothers ( and the inference is they did otherwise they would have stopped the trial), there is already an avenue to sell the product to other hospitals who also have to deal with pregnant COVID mothers, which in my estimation is likely to be most hospitals in the world right now.
