This is a major piece of the puzzle now put in place and although the premium paid appears to be modest, it should light a match under the rocket.
Obviously there are many more hurdles to pass, but I doubt whether this follows that Glencore remain passive with a modest holding in the longer term. Why BHP or Rio did not jump on this is a mystery, but Glencore will do fine.
