@picastoc - I learnt a lot of colloquialisms when I worked for the Central TAB office in Bunbury - this was in the days when bets from the minor country agencies had to be relayed by telephone to a central office, I then typed them up and relayed to Perth. I was one of the telephonists - I enjoyed this job but had to learn to pronounce 'numbers' with an Aussie accent, real quick! My English was British with a touch of Germanic, which everyone thought was 'Seouth Aaafricahn' -
(Greens ' haha' - I'd love them to have some practical policies, then I'd vote for them, so sad, really, they have important things to say)
no politics on this thread, though
go well pica!
