The Inglis saga won't make a scrap of difference. This has been going on for years well before it became fashionable to put sport on the front page.
Most people in Sydney's (where I live) knowledge of AFL, is one of a drug culture. From Gary Ablett thru the years to the Ben Cousin's saga. It didn't stop AFL supporters switching codes. A lot of people know the drug players in the AFL because it makes the front/back page. About the only time it ever does in Sydney.
Too much money, too much time and egos to boot. It goes on in all sports.
