I think your right in how you see things. I always thought what is good for BBI is good for Beppa.
Basically BBI has no forward direction while the uncertainty exists (probably little future). The name of the game is equity these days and people should know this (look at the REIT's). The days of asset recycling and leverage plays are over for the time being. Simple vanilla arrangements are what the majority of investors are after and the only way of attracting sidelined cash.
I prefer to hold a stock that can manage its future, than one that drifts from one crisis to another.
Saying that, others are entitled to a view, as mine are based on the little a know. Debate is healthy and I don't think they spoil strings but enhances the knowledge by teasing out bits of information here and there.
Anyone who takes the time to share their thoughts in a thoughtful and well meaning manner deserves some respect regardless on whether we believe them to right or wrong IMO.
