Packing all that processing power into 5nm architecture to fit in a mobile is impressive.
Battery life is critical for mobile phones and many other edge products. As we discussed on the main thread last night, Google do not seem to have a home-grown SNN.

“It’s definitely very different than just another co-processor,” Osterloh says. “Like with any SoC, we license a lot of technology into it, but this is our design and it was designed specifically with the purpose of driving our ML and AI forward.”
