If you are resident of Australia for tax purposes it doesn't matter what exchange the shares are traded on, you calculate your CGT the same way.
That's why investment funds domicile in tax free havens, so the onus is on the investor to abide by their local tax regulations and why it was a massive beat up when it was uncovered that Malcolm Turnbull had shares in a fund domiciled in the Caymans (hint: if you have a super fund trading international equities, it's domiciled in the Caymans)
